You will need to know the following to install BundleWorks:
The location of your Java™ installation. This can be a full Java Development Kit (JDK) or a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), but it must be version 1.5 or greater. If you don't have Java installed, you can download it from Sun at http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.
The directory for installing the BundleWorks software. This can be any writable directory on your machine, including one shared between multiple machines. For UNIX and Linux-based systems, the recommended directory is /opt/bundles. The BundleWorks installation takes up less than 1 MB of space.
The directory for running a BundleWorks instance. This can be any writable directory on your machine, but it must not be shared between machines. This directory will hold all BundleWorks runtime files. For UNIX and Linux-based systems, the recommended directory is either /local or /var. The size of BundleWorks runtime files will vary based on usage, but 5 MB should be sufficient in most cases.
The user and/or group for installing and running BundleWorks. Choosing a user and group for BundleWorks will depend on the security policies within your organization.
